Installed Centos 5 by following this http://linux.duke.edu/dist/centos-5/install.ptml
screen shifting with default video driver
- switched to generic vesa
Upgraded packages with Yum
- From Terminal "Yum update"
Centos 5 ships with PHP 5.1.6
Drupal does not require PHP 5.2 but many contributed modules do.
- install PHP 5.2 by following this http://www.freshblurbs.com/install-php-5-2-centos-5-2-using-yum
