PHP filter - Foe but in rare unique cases Friend

I am not proud of this but share it in hopes of showing the vulnerabilities of the PHP filter and in great contradiction how useful it was in one unique case.

I have preached every chance I get about turning off the PHP filter that ships with Drupal. It is notoriously abused by newbies we don't learn to write modules and just make block after block with PHP code in it. It is this endless preaching that most likely made it difficult for me to see it as a solution to my unusual problem.

Regained MySQL root privileges

I use MAMP, not exclusively but it is a helpful tool. I changed the password on my root account and locked myself out. Most of the documentation I was looking at to solve this problem was for native installations of MySQL. I had a lot of trouble interpreting things into MAMP.
Short of it is I got back in. Learned alot about MySQL and MAMP along the way. Here is the key that Unlocked the door for me.

Pretty QR codes

Today I was poking around and found some blogs and even companies dedicated to creating pretty QR codes.

Here is my first attempt. I tried to push the rounding as far as I could and still have a strong read. I was very amazed at how much error correction is built in that you can leverage.

Best Day Ever - removing the most invasive species in North America

Tore up sod (the most invasive species on the planet).

- What a bunch of stupid symbiots we are.
- consider yearly cost (direct and indirect): seed, fertilizer, aeration, gasoline, lawn mower, file to sharpen blade, string trimmer, sting, edger.
- Plus I have to mow once a week during peek summer. Good thing Ethanol is subsidized in this state. 89 octane is cheaper than 87. But thats is another rant.

- I set up four borrowed pallets and created a bin. I currently have 3 bins. Throw the sod in the bin. The sod roots and stems die within a year and the soil can be returned within a year but best to what two years to be sure.
